Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) – as the official sponsor – hosted the book launch and signing ceremony of renowned Jordanian mountaineer Mustafa Salameh’s “Kilimanjaro Adventure” book, the second story within the 7 Summits series – an exciting 7-book children’s series featuring the seven summits of the world.
The book launch and signing ceremony was attended by Haethum Buttikhi – Chief Executive Officer at JKB, the climber Mustafa salameh, the General Manager of Jabal Amman Publishes, and special needs’ marathon champions, Ali Al Sawalmeh and Suhail Al Nashash, and a number of the Bank’s customers accompanying their children.
“Kilimanjaro Adventure” book is part of Salameh’s Seven Summit Series, where he plays the protagonist of the story, a modern-day hero who grew up in a refugee camp in Amman, but with his tenacity and perseverance, he was able to reach universality. The book tells the story of a mountaineering trip to the summit of Kilimanjaro involving Haethum Buttikhi, colleagues, and friends.
Mr. Buttikhi shared part of his experience of this adventure, stating: “it was indeed a long journey that we enjoyed each of its stops and learned about new cultures from the beginning of our arrival at Arusha, Tanzania, until we arrived at Mount Kilimanjaro. I was aware that I had to explore my strengths, and weaknesses so that I could go through this challenging adventure. Indeed, I feel proud of this wonderful experience from which we learned the importance of working in a team, patience, endurance, and challenging oneself.”
